The Friday Links for Sept. 21st
September 21st 2007 15:20
Unfortunately, ING direct dropped their interest rate two days ago. It's 4.3% now. It doesn't do much to me, since I don't have a lot of money right now, but it is still irritating.
Now to the links...
Saving with me has an article "11 Money Tips for College Students." It all makes perfect sense, but sometimes four years just doesn't work. Especially if you're one of those change-your-major-five-times kind of people. Like me.
Wise Bread has an interesting article of "Pre-career advice." I do agree with the "do what you love" idea. However, not having a job?? That just doesn't work for me. You still have bills to pay.
FREE MONEY ALERT!!!
This one is an essay contest for undergraduates, graduates, or recent grads who have $2500 or more in student loan debt. It's called "College Affordability Essay Contest." You have to write an essay or article and get it published in a newspaper somewhere - college campus, local newspaper, big-time newspaper - and then send them the link if it's also online, or you have to mail it in.
All the instructions can be found from that link! Good luck!
