The Friday Links and Updates for Sept. 14th
September 14th 2007 15:21
Fantastic news! I now have two on-campus jobs!
On to the links:
The Five College Classes I took that were actually worth my time and money - this post from The Simple Dollar brings up some interesting points. However, in my experience, history was not something I'd necessarily need, unless someone finally decided to teach us that things have happened since the Civil War. (Yes, I have issues with school systems who only teach the Rev. War and the Civil War. Didn't learn anything about WWI or WWII until freshman year of high school, and that was the only time we talked about it. Nothing in college either).
5 Romantic Outdoor Day Dates for Under $30 - this post is from consumerism commentary. College kids are broke and need to think of the cheapest, but really fun, dates as possible!
FREE MONEY ALERT! FREE MONEY ALERT!
This actually only applies to college students though. It's a contest given by Merriam-Webster for a free semester's worth of tuition! You have to answer 10 questions about the dictionary I believe. It's worth a try! It ends September 30th, so you better hurry! *Contest Rules here*
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
