Survey "Site-ings" (pt. 2)

No, I haven’t forgotten about the rest of the survey sites I promised I would tell you about! Here’s the second installment.
Today I’m going to cover globaltestmarket.com. From this site I have made the second most amount of money, (surveyspot.com ranks first).
This site uses a points system, and probably the most effective and fair points system. Each “marketpoint” that you receive is worth 5 cents. More on this later.
In the emails you will receive from them, it will show you your account number, the amount of marketpoints you currently have, and how many marketpoints this particular survey is worth. The range is because it depends on how far you get into the survey. Trying the survey and not qualifying gives you the lowest amount of points: 5. This actually works out, because every time you attempt a survey you will receive a quarter in return.
Believe it or not, even just 5 points for every survey can add up quickly. The site does not allow you to redeem your points for cash until you have accumulated 1000 points. This is equivalent to $50 in cash. I assume this is to keep paper costs down; some companies will send checks after only $5 has been made.
At any time you can login to your account and see how many marketpoints you have, or if there are any surveys available that just haven’t been emailed yet. However, you will need your account number that is sent in the emails to do so. This is the only site I’ve found that requires a number to be used. Most use your email address as the login. **EDIT 7/25/07** They now have it set up for you to login using your email address instead of the account number.**END EDIT**
This site does have a referral system, for each friend that signs up and completes her first survey you can receive 20 points.
I have gotten a check from them, so they do pay.
Did any of you join the last survey website? How are things going with it?
Happy money making!
*Always be sure to check the FAQ pages for survey sites for any other information you may need or want. I’ve tried to only join ones that don’t sell my information to others, but I may have missed something, so you should also read the privacy policy and terms of service for each site yourself.
