Scholarship Websites

Hey students! Looking for scholarships? For my own personal searches these sites I've found to be the best and most reliable (aka have updated links). None of these require payments of any sort.
www.fastweb.com - I am sure most of you have heard of this place through your high school, but just in case you hadn't, there it is.
www.wiredscholar.com - This site sometimes has the same scholarships as the one above, but also has ones that don’t show up on fastweb. Also has a $1,000 scholarship sweepstakes of its own.
www.scholarships.com - Usually has different scholarships from those above.
www.scholarship-page.com - You don’t have to register for this one. There are categories that you just click on and it takes you to a list of scholarships that fit that category.
www.nextstudent.com - From this site I actually learned about some scholarships I didn’t even know my school had. My school was not very effective at putting their scholarships on their website until just recently when it isn’t helpful to me anymore. So hopefully this will be helpful to you.
www.intellistudent.com - This website features a scholarship of the day every day.
www.collegedata.com - I wrote about this one in a separate post.
Most of these require you to register, but I've joined all of them and have not had any problems. I would suggest using the same login name and password if you sign up for all of these. It makes everything easier to remember!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Also, if you know what school you are going to, or in what state, let me know and I would be glad to help you search for scholarships.

Great list! Also, no college student(s) should underestimate the value of campus-based scholarships given out by their own colleges.
These scholarships, which come from various organizations but are administered by the college, can really be a big help in maximizing one's educational dollars!
They are, in fact, a great antidote to the infamous "Starving Student Syndrome"! In addition, they tend to give one a welcome bit of prestige on one's local campus--particularly if the student receiving the scholarship attends the awards ceremony!
(While I'm not absolutely positive universities offer these, I know that community colleges do. Perhaps someone else knows?)
A fellow (re-entry) student,
Jeanne

Didn't mean to imply that you hadn't covered the subject extensively enough. You did a great job! Just thought I'd mention one avenue for getting college funding that has proven very successful for me, personally, over the past two years, and one that might be easy to overlook!
Keep up the good work!
