Laying Out the Full Budget
March 18th 2008 10:40
I have randomly mentioned some of my different budget categories and how much they are (gas, groceries), but I thought my recent posts about my student loans would make more sense if I laid out my budget here.
rent - $200 (technically I think it's $198 but rounding makes the math easier when I'm deciding things quickly)
utilities - ~$40
cable/internet - ~$40
car - $155
Credit Card A - $65 *These are my tuition cards*
Credit Card B - $60
student loan in repayment - $50
gas for my car - ~$30
groceries - $50
That adds up to $700. I mentioned before that I will be paying off my car loan in May. (I think now it will actually be the end of April).
I won't know until Friday exactly how much I'll be getting paid each paycheck. Friday will be the first one with 30 hours/week on it.
I'm happy about it though!
Of course, this budget only lasts another two months. When June comes it will have to change again. I can't wait until it will stay the same for a while and I can get into a groove of doing things. And then I won't have to think/stress about money so much. Won't that be nice?
*You may notice there isn't a "car insurance" section above. My payment would be about $65-$70 a month, but my Mom is actually paying it until I get everything under control. So yay for having an awesome Mom! haha*
