February 2008 Grocery Challenge Update

I have good news concerning my grocery budget for the month of February. I came in under budget!
I had mentioned in My New Grocery Budget post that I was trying to keep my spending on groceries under $50 per month, and that I had already spent about $34. I spent another $10.14 at the store on Tuesday.
I bought:
milk - 2.09 (blah, I had gotten it for $1 the last time)
bread - 86 cents again
cereal - 1.89
toiletries - 5.00
That means I'm almost $6 under my budget. I shouldn't run out of anything in the next eight days, so that number shouldn't change. So, I'm announcing that in my first month of my grocery challenge - I CAME IN UNDER BUDGET!!!! Yay! Let's hope I can recreate this next month!
