College Saving for Parents

This post is mainly for parents who want to start saving for their children’s education. Savingforcollege.com has lots of information on 529 savings plans which seems the big way to save for college these days.
On the left of the main page they have a link to “529 Plans” which opens to tons of information starting with an introduction and includes monthly tips and a way to compare 529 plans.
Another cool thing they offer is under the “Financial Aid” link to the left. Click on that and click on scholarships and they have a “Scholarship of the Month.”
They also have a message board where you can talk with others who are going through the same thing and ask questions.
Hopefully this will be helpful in answering any questions about 529 plans. Many times I don’t know who to ask questions to, but this seems like a good place to start. However, they don’t help me right now since I am 6 months from graduating. Good luck to those of you who are in need of this and happy saving!!
