Carnival of Money Stories #47

Welcome to the Carnival of Money Stories edition #47! It's my first time being a host and I'm glad you stopped by. We've got plenty of good stuff waiting for you to read!
But first, I want to explain that when I think of a "money story" it is a personal experience, or a story of someone else's experience with money. I don't think of it as advice, unless the advice was tied into your experience. So, that's why I've included the following posts. I hope you enjoy them!
Becky of Family and Finances brings us a story of a $250 credit she didn't really expect to get. Quick, someone get me $250!
Bubbadump talks about the anatomy of successful options, and his personal experience with them.
Free Money Finance brings us a story about a person who takes the "move to a cheaper location" advice another step - moving to another country! But it's worked out quite well it seems.
Ryan at Debt Reduction gives us an update on dealing with some medical bills. A few phone calls saved him a decent amount of money.
The Honest Dollar throws some financial fortune cookies your way. Oh, you wise and yummy food, you.
An unfortunate car crash at Collecting My Cash messes up some previous plans for money saved. The more important thing is, no one was hurt.
Prime Time Money gives the 9th thing that brings success to personal finance. I won't spoil the surprise and tell you what it is, but PT tells you how they went about it. So go check it out.
Pinyo at Moolanomy talks about the "stupid tax" from three different sources. I think we all end up with "stupid tax" occasionally.
The Great Money Challege says you can save money by being organized.
My Two Dollars has some interesting info on a virtual account numbers and tells about what event happened that brought about this knowledge.
Jacob of early retirement extreme gives us part IV of how he became financially independent in five years. This part is basically a story of his first dealings with investing. Hopefully I get there soon!
If I Were Debt free tells what they sent their credit card company for Valentine's Day. Sadly, it wasn't something mean.
I've never actually heard of The Melting Pot, but Money Blue Book recommends it, but only if you can really afford it!
An amusing song and Youtube video are included in SVB's post this week, because "tells the story of what I went through in the dot-com era." I really enjoyed the lyrics.
Paid Twice writes about possibly saving money, all because of a q-tip. And of staying warmer!
Stamps are a sticky investment at Start Stamp Collecting, but apparently, they can be a good one as well.
Scanning your bills only takes a few minutes, but it could keep you from paying random charges you weren't aware of, writes Dollar Frugal.
Getting out of Debt writes about doing your own car repairs saving $115. Pretty impressive.
Small Cents noticed some progress that had previously been invisible to her.
Millionaire Money Habits writes about the cost of credit cards and uses his $2000 tv which turned into a $4000 tv as an example.
Be This Way went to target and didn't buy anything, and actually walked out richer! Target seems to have a pull on everyone.
Dawn of Iowahippiechick gives a rundown on what she and the hubby did with an extra $1600!
And finally, at DotMakeMoney, you can learn how to lower your POO! Haha!
Well, I hope you enjoyed all the articles at this week's carnival! Next week's Carnival of Money Stories can be found at Collecting My Cash. Last week's was at Mrs. Micah's blog, in case you missed it.
